Today, the team at Kajak.mk takes you to 1100 meters above sea level to the village of Kuratica, where the hosts Ivana and Goran opened their doors to the world of Kayak.mk, our new local heroes who skillfully utilize Macedonian fertile soil for the cultivation and preparation of various traditional specialties.

The ethnographic household 'Plevena,' managed by the Mickoski family, is not just a place where you can rest from everyday duties, but a space where every visitor becomes part of the community and rural life.

Since 2011, Ivana and Goran Mickoski have started preparing various specialties intended for guests from all over the world, offering them a unique insight into the authentic rural life. At 'Plevena,' every guest is invited not only to taste but also to participate in the preparation of traditional Macedonian dishes. This provides an opportunity for a genuine learning experience and cultural exchange.

Plevena' is not just about local food, but also a life filled with love for nature and sharing cultural wealth. Exciting activities like donkey hiking and interaction with the local population provide an authentic experience that remains forever in the hearts and minds of tourists.

Here, there are various paths leading to locations offering a beautiful view of Lake Ohrid. The hosts organize mountaineering and easy hiking tours. After each tour, the group is welcomed with a rich table, featuring various salads, 'makala' (a traditional dish), appetizers, and main courses.

The heart of the household, the cauldron over an open fire, is a central gathering place for sharing stories. Each guest can participate in the cooking, from preparing homemade bread to making fresh mixed salad with products taken directly from the garden.
