The lodge consists of a new and an old section, both of which are available for guest accommodation. The new section has been equipped with central heating to ensure warmth in the rooms, and the building features a new thermal facade for better insulation. You can make a reservation by sending a booking request. After submitting the request, you will receive a response via email with the price details. Reservations via email are the safest option for both you and the hosts.
The house was built in 1952, originally serving as a hunting
lodge. In 1955, it was handed over to the management of the "Solunska
Glava" Mountaineering Society from Veles and transformed into a mountain
lodge. Recently, the house has been privatized and is now managed by the Sports
Athletic Club "Izgrev" from Veles.
The lodge consists of two sections: a new and an old part,
both open for guest accommodation. The new section has been equipped with
central heating to ensure comfortable warmth throughout the rooms. The building
features a modern thermal facade to improve energy efficiency.
The lodge has five sleeping rooms, two of which are larger
and equipped with group beds. It can accommodate up to 56 people, but with
group accommodation, it can host up to 100 mountaineers. The property is
well-maintained, with electrical lighting and a water supply from its own
spring – the Norton well (with a pump). Outside, there is a fountain with
natural drinking water. The lodge is open year-round and has a permanent
caretaker.
Mountain Lodge "Cheples" is situated on Mount
Dautica, part of the Jakupica mountain massif. The lodge is surrounded by a
forest of tall beech trees, with a spacious area outside covered with grass and
ferns. The setting offers a remarkable mountain ambiance with panoramic views
of the Jakupica and Plavnik peaks. The lodge faces east, ensuring long periods
of sunlight throughout the day.
Possible Excursions:
Mountain Biking: From Bogomila to Nezhilovo and Cheples.
Rock Climbing: On the Nezhilovo cliffs near the lodge.
Hike to the Springs of the Babuna River: Located in the Baba
Dupska area, a 2-hour walk from the lodge.
Climb to the summit of Solunska Glava (2,539 m): About
2 hours of hiking in good weather conditions during the summer. However,
weather conditions can change rapidly, so this ascent is recommended for
experienced mountaineers or in organized groups with seasoned climbers.

Skopje: A hike lasting approximately 8 hours.
Trail: Cheples – Solunska Glava – Mountaineering Lodge Karadzica – Mountaineering Lodge Kitka: A hike lasting approximately 4 hours.
