One-Day Wine Tour: Skopje - Chateau Sopot Winery

Chateau Sopot Winery is located in close proximity to the city of Veles. It takes about 45 minutes from Skopje to reach the location. The transfer will be provided from your hotel or from a nearby location in Skopje.

We arrive in Veles, which is about 7-10 minutes away from the winery. The city, also known as Titov Veles, is a place that blends culture and history from centuries ago up to the present day. We will visit the house of the famous poet Kosta Solev Racin, the Veles City Museum for a better understanding of the local history, and the Kosturnica Memorial, an important reminder of the past. You will have the opportunity to take a walk and enjoy the streets of Veles.

After the city tour, we head towards the winery.

Upon arrival, you will be greeted by the winery team, who will guide you on a tour of the winery itself.

During the tour, you will have the opportunity to learn more about the wine production process, as well as explore the state-of-the-art infrastructure of the winery. You will see the vineyards that stretch across 103 hectares, covering various grape varieties such as Rhine Riesling, Cabernet Sauvignon, and Chardonnay, creating a unique landscape around the winery. The vineyards are located in fertile areas, and the view of Veles Lake and the surrounding hills will amaze you.

After the winery tour, you will have the chance to taste various wines produced on site. The wine will be complemented with delicious appetizers and delicacies, enhancing your experience and allowing you to enjoy the true magic of Macedonian wines.

After the tasting, you will have the opportunity to relax and enjoy a delicious gourmet lunch, prepared with the best local ingredients.

After lunch, you will have free time for a short walk through the vineyards and individual exploration of the surroundings.

The day can be concluded with coffee by Veles Lake.
