From Kočani to Macedonian Kamenica, this region is known for its frog specialties, which are increasingly rare on menus and in the local market.

Today, unfortunately, due to uncontrolled frog hunting, this region is facing a shortage of frogs, and in Macedonia, frog legs can only be legally purchased from companies that import them.

For those who wish to taste this specialty, the team at kajak.mk recommends visiting Restaurant Zlatina, located on the A3 highway from Kočani to Delčevo, right at the exit of Macedonian Kamenica.

We spoke with the host Zlatko, who shared with kajak.mk that the restaurant has a 17-year-long story. The reason for its success lies in the constant innovations they bring to their operations.

Formerly known as "Zlaten Prijatel" and now "Zlatina," the restaurant offers a variety of specialties, with a focus on fish dishes. When asked what should be ordered from the menu, Zlatko recommends the trout and carp, prepared in a special way, but also emphasizes the frog legs, which are always available. The grilled dishes, always fresh, are also a highlight here.

Today, Restaurant Zlatina has a capacity of 100 indoor seats and 200 outdoor seats.
