Promoting Tourism in Macedonia through Music in Nature!

Promoting Tourism in Macedonia through Music in Nature!

Organic travel trends from the pandemic have inspired the Macedonian acoustic duo 'ChillOut' to promote the beauty of Macedonia through music.

Tome and Aleksandar are young dentists by profession, but in their free time, they create new travel adventures filled with music.

They met at the Medical Faculty in Skopje, where both concluded that the guitar was their common interest. For several years, they have spent their free time reworking famous hits, but in 2020, they started their own volunteer music caravan called 'With Music Through Macedonia.'

On their Instagram profile @chill_out.official, they share videos of acoustic covers at beautiful locations across the country.

The goal of the traveling music caravan, as they say, is to pay homage to the mountains, the fresh air, and the untouched nature, all spiced up with music.

"Each of us misses a music concert." We all have the desire to return to festivals. Whether they are filled with rock music, electronic music on some Macedonian mountain, or Balkan brass music in a mountain village. Macedonia has plenty of festivals held in nature, so our intention is to enable people who do not follow to enjoy the beautiful nature and music.

Although they live in Gevgelija, their favorite mountain where they strive to perform is Pelister.

They adore Pelister for its clean air and the Molika pine trees. They say that they will never get bored on this mountain.

In addition to promoting tourist destinations across Macedonia, their main goal is also to raise ecological awareness among citizens.

On their own initiative, they have managed to clean up several locations across the country. By collecting trash in plastic bags and sharing it on social media with the message 'This shouldn’t be us.'

Macedonian music is of particular importance to them. They prefer to play Macedonian music because it earns them more applause from foreign tourists who pass by them.

Their informal adventure caravan will continue into 2021, as they believe it’s always better to hear an acoustic guitar on a mountain.
