2015, which has grown into a symbol of quality and tradition in Macedonian
winemaking. Located near the ancient site of Stobi, in the heart of the Tikveš
wine region, the winery offers a unique wine experience.
The tour begins with a departure from Skopje, which is 80 km
away from this area.
Stop 1: Ancient Site of Stobi
The first destination is the ancient site of Stobi, one of
the most important archaeological sites in Macedonia. Situated near the town of
Gradsko, close to the Stobi Winery, this ancient city was one of the largest
and most significant Roman towns in the region. Today, it stands as a testament
to the rich cultural and historical heritage of the area.
Stobi is renowned for its remains of the amphitheater,
public baths, churches, palaces, and other architectural structures, which
reveal the advanced urban infrastructure and cultural influences of the Roman
period. Visitors can explore these historical remnants and enjoy the unique
atmosphere of this ancient site.
Stop 2: Lazar Winery
After exploring Stobi, the tour continues to Lazar Winery.
With an annual production of approximately 150,000 bottles,
Lazar Winery offers 22 different wine labels, 70% of which include white, rosé,
and sparkling wines. The sparkling wines are particularly noteworthy, as they
are crafted using the Italian Prosecco technology, known as the Charmat method,
making them unique in the Macedonian market.
At the winery, guests will enjoy:
