Prilep is a city with a long history, once an important trade and cultural centre. Today, the city is known for its traditional tobacco industry, which continues to play a significant role in the region's economy.

The tour starts in the early morning hours with departure from Skopje.

Our first destinations will be the monasteries in the villages of Treskavec and Zrze.

Zrze Monastery - located 34 km northwest of Prilep, in Upper Pelagonia, at an altitude of 1000 meters above sea level.

Treskavec Monastery - located 10 km from Prilep, at an altitude of 1280 meters, and is one of the most significant monastic centers in North Macedonia. Founded on the mountain peak Zlatovrv, it houses a church dedicated to the Dormition of the Mother of God. Until 2013, the monastery was accessible only through a difficult hiking path, but it is now connected by an asphalt road.

After the monastery tour, we will head to the city of Prilep, where we will visit some of the most significant historical and cultural attractions.

Markovi Kuli - distinguished by unique natural formations created from metamorphic rocks and granite. This natural monument has geological and relief richness formed around 300 million years ago. The site is important for geologists and tourists, offering fascinating rock formations and an excellent view of the surroundings. The monument was declared a protected area in 2006.

The complex is dedicated to the fighters of the National Liberation War and consists of two parts: a common grave with the names of fallen fighters and memorial urns, including an urn with the symbol of the eternal flame, symbolizing the defiance of the Macedonian people. The park is landscaped with pine forests and evergreen flora.

Memorial Museum "11th October" - dedicated to the Day of the National Uprising, October 11, 1941. The museum is housed in a building constructed at the beginning of the 20th century and serves as an important cultural center for researching and presenting the history of the anti-fascist struggle in North Macedonia. The museum preserves and exhibits the rich history connected to the national uprising and its impact on the country's further development.
