For the first time in Macedonia, a team of professionals will organize a "river hiking" day for you.

For those unfamiliar with the term "Canyoning," here’s a brief explanation:

Canyoning is an adventurous activity that involves trekking through canyons located at the foothills of mountains, surrounded by fascinating and untouched nature. It involves overcoming natural obstacles such as waterfalls, cascades, natural pools (whirlpools), and more. During this activity, various hiking skills and techniques for climbing and descending, rope descent, hiking on exposed terrain or along watercourses, squeezing through narrow gaps, jumping into water, and swimming are used. Canyoning is suitable for individuals, couples, larger groups, and families, with the season running from May to October. This is an activity performed with professional and experienced guides on pre-secured terrain, so no prior experience is necessary to enjoy canyoning. The only requirements are knowing how to swim and a desire for an adrenaline-packed adventure. With the help of your guide, you’ll be able to overcome more obstacles and venture further into the canyon than you could on your own.

Here’s what the tour on the Gradesska River looks like:

• Starting point at Zovic village
  The adventure begins in Zovic village with a short training session for the upcoming canyoning experience, where you will dress in wetsuits, harnesses, and helmets, and familiarize yourself with the canyoning route. Afterward, you’ll enter the canyon and begin the canyoning journey, which lasts about 3-4 hours.

• After completing the entire canyon route, we’ll climb out of the canyon, and after a 15-minute walk, we’ll return to the starting point in Zovic village, completing the canyoning experience.

As part of this adventure, you will also have the opportunity to taste traditional dishes from the region, such as homemade bread, sheep cheese, honey, meat, salads, and fruit—authentic flavors that have been forgotten in urban areas.

Equipment we provide:

• 4mm wetsuit (one-piece from neck to toes)
• Climbing harness
• Helmet
• Other technical gear (ropes, carabiners, descenders, etc.)

Equipment you need to bring:

• Hiking boots or sturdy shoes (they will be fully submerged during the tour)
• Swimsuit
• Sunscreen, towel

Minimum participants per tour: 5 people, maximum 25 people.

IMPORTANT:

Each participant in the canyoning tour will receive a DISCLAIMER LETTER, which will explain the entire tour in detail, including possible hazards, safety plan, and evacuation procedures. Everyone, without exception, must sign this document before the tour begins.
