Today, we will introduce you to a man who moved from Turkey to Macedonia 10 years ago. He decided to settle in Ohrid, where he later married and had a son. Sezer is our new local hero from Ohrid, who now has a place in the "Gastronomy" database.
Today, Akin Sezer, or as all his friends know him, "Sezer Aga," has an 8-year-old son, a wonderful family, and a beautiful story that is part of the kajak.mk database.
Sezer owns a farm located just 2 kilometers from the center of Ohrid. The land he works on is just 50 meters from the lake, and the climate allows for excellent conditions for cultivating the soil and producing various crops.
But what makes Sezer different from other farmers? Sezer grows various types of garden vegetables that you can buy directly from the field, and he also produces various food products that he sells at the market. These include ajvar, lutenica, makalo, winter preserves, and pickles, all naturally preserved in jars.
His seedlings come from the seeds of the previous vegetables, which he grows using organic principles, and there is no room for waste in his fields.
Sezer synthesizes Macedonian and Turkish traditions and creates flavors that leave no one indifferent. He is especially proud of the taste of the ajvar he makes, which is different from the classic way of preparing it.
Sezer sells makalo with artichoke and makalo with asparagus, pasta sauces, vinegars, pickles, and salads, and this year, for the first time, he started producing liqueurs.
On his farm, there are also volunteer assistants from various countries who visit him frequently. Sezer is a host to everyone who visits. A cup of coffee or a drink is part of the warm welcome he offers to his guests.
