Gastronomic Experience at Pirustija Nedanoski
The farm "Pirustija Nedanoski" is located on Mount
Galichica. Only 3.5 km away by asphalt or dirt road (on foot or by car) within
the Galichica National Park, with a beautiful view of Lake Ohrid, it is
situated in a typical rural environment and untouched nature.
If you're tired of conventionality, indulge in spontaneity.
As house specialties, they offer homemade pasta dishes that
are baked in a pirusija under the bell. Unique to this place are Ohrid PRESNEC
and Ohrid KOSHMISHPITE, which the hosts will prepare in front of you. Of
course, there is also the unavoidable KOMAT under the bell, as well as the
equally attractive PITULICI and DJOMLEZE.
What will you taste if you are their guest?
Everything they organically produce on their own garden and
farm.
Welcome: traditional sweet made of white cherries or the
branded novelty made of raspberries; whole wheat grissini; fresh salad;
zucchini, mushrooms, black eggplant; cheese; garlic or chickpea spread; pinđur
or tomato sauce; stuffed grape leaves; homemade rakija or liqueur; compotes,
tea, homemade juice... all served as appetizers while the hosts prepare the
main dish.
Choice of dishes:
- PRESNEC
with leek or with homemade minced meat;
- KOSHMISHPITE
with cheese from local farmers or our partners;
- KOMAT
under the bell with filling of your choice (leek, chard, nettles, sorrel,
spinach,...) with homemade village eggs from naturally fed hens and cheese
from local farmers or our partners;
Exclusivity by arrangement: stewed homemade (from their own
farm) pork, roasted under the bell with mushroom sauce;
Side dishes: homemade fermented yogurt, homemade red or
white wine, compotes or juices made from cherries, cornels, currants... and
fresh salads;
Dessert: surprise!!! an old Ohrid recipe for a dry or
steamed cake that goes perfectly with boiled coffee.
Fun and recreation:
- A tour
of the farm (chickens, ducks, dogs, rabbits, pigs, ducks, goats) with the
possibility to pet, feed, and photograph;
- A walk
to their garden and the village church, around the village, and the three
fountains that gush with cold spring water, a nearby forest walk to the
village vineyards,...;
- Fun
social game for the little ones "My Farm";
- "Learning
to Roll" – a class on kneading, rolling, and baking with the hostess,
for both children and adults upon request;
- The
guest: What can I help with? – bring me eggs from the chicken coop, pull
out the grass, pick some raspberries, go pick a tomato for the salad, add
wood to the fire, lift the bell,....
- The
guest: Where can I relax? – on the hammock, on the soft benches, or on the
little bed in the yard.....
