Some of our travelers have probably already visited the beautiful Kamenjane Waterfalls, and for those who are encountering this term for the first time, today is the day we’ll reveal some interesting details.

Let’s start with the route.

To reach the waterfalls, follow this route: First, drive to the village of Kamenjane, located in the Polog Basin, on the right side of the Gostivar-Tetovo highway, or about 7 kilometers from Tetovo.

The main reason why everyone who visits Kamenjane falls in love with it is one — the Shara Mountain. A mountain that leaves no one indifferent.

When you arrive in the village, continue along the riverbed on an asphalt road to the village of Jelovjane, where you will find informational signs and markers leading through the beech forest. In this area, you’ll discover 8 waterfalls, each with its own unique beauty. Just before the first waterfall, you will come across an old watermill, where the locals used to grind wheat, and immediately after, you’ll see stairs placed to ease movement along the river. Along the river, you’ll find many wooden bridges, magical views, and beautifully hidden spots where you’ll want to stay all day.

For those who are not physically prepared, there’s no need to worry, as the trail to the waterfalls is clearly marked and urbanized with stairs and bridges, allowing you to see all 8 waterfalls in just 2 hours.
