Full-Day Rural Tour in the Polog Region of Macedonia
The tour begins early in the morning with departure from Skopje.
Visit to: Dufski Waterfall - A waterfall along the course of the Rostuska River. The waterfall is full of water all year round, with the highest flow during winter. The natural site is protected by a walking path leading to it, with a pleasant 30-minute walk to the waterfall.
Lazaropole - A mountain village situated at an altitude of 1,300 meters. It is famous for its natural beauty, fresh air, and traditional way of life. Lazaropole is also known for its traditional houses and the hospitality of the residents.
Gari - A Mijak village at an altitude of 1,100 meters. Due to its mountain location, the village is known for livestock farming as the primary activity. Gari is an ancient Macedonian traditional village.
Both Lazaropole and Gari will be explored in detail, including visits to local churches, historical landmarks, old architecture, and interactions with locals to learn about their way of life.
Return to Skopje in the late afternoon.
