100% Natural Fruit Spread – No Added Sugar, Additives, or Preservatives
To produce high-quality fruit spread, the most important factor is having quality grapes. The grape variety, the sugar content of the grapes, and, of course, the processing method play a crucial role. With these words, Angela began explaining the process that the fruit spread goes through. In one word: from the vineyard to the jar of healthy goodness.
Today, fruit spread is considered one of the main food products that every family should have in their home. That’s why we at Kajak.mk have decided to allow you to order and purchase fruit spread from some of the best producers in Macedonia. Her shop is now part of the Kajak.mk grocery store and you can view it with just one click HERE.
The Negotino fruit spread that she produces has a long story. Angela explains that the main reason that prompted her to start production was, first and foremost, the long-standing family tradition of growing vineyards, and later the low purchase prices of grapes. Looking for a way to create her own innovative idea and give a spirit to the family’s raw production, Angela decided to produce fruit spread.
"When grapes and grape products are mentioned, everyone thinks of wine or rakija, but grapes are also used to make other food products that are very healthy for consumption and for boosting the immune system. One such product is fruit spread," she says.
It has its own laborious process. If you think that something of high quality is easily produced, then you're mistaken. Angela says that the fruit spread is only the result of hard work in the vineyard. To make a good fruit spread, we need good grapes. Once we have quality grapes, we begin by crushing them to obtain grape juice, or must. Then, we continue by straining the must and leave it to simmer for about 48 hours at a specific temperature until we achieve the desired consistency of the fruit spread.
This is Angela's first product, and as a member of the National Federation of Farmers, she says that she is constantly learning and improving her knowledge. Her biggest support comes from her husband, her parents, and her family.
