Pioneering Producer of Truffle Honey in Macedonia

Pioneering Producer of Truffle Honey in Macedonia

Becoming a truffle hunter in Macedonia requires more than just desire; here we are talking about much more – patience and perseverance. Truffle hunting is primarily a hobby, a love for the mountains and nature, a desire to stay physically active in your free time, and a wish to appreciate nature in a way it truly deserves.

Today, the team at Kajak.mk introduces you to another local hero who has opened his world to Kajak.mk and shared his story about his beginnings and the products he now sells on the market. His truffle honey, which we are writing about today, can be ordered through Kajak.mk's store or with a single click HERE.

Jovanche says that even as a child, he would spend every free moment of the day collecting mushrooms, something that brought him immense joy. Over time, he researched mushrooms and discovered that there are underground mushrooms, which are very rare and are most often sought with the help of trained dogs – these mushrooms were truffles.

His desire to find truffles grew day by day. Driven by the ambition to become a truffle hunter, Jovanche decided to buy a puppy that he would later train to be a loyal partner in the search for “black gold.” After a long process of training, dedication, and patience, Jovanche embarked on the hunt for Macedonian mountain truffles.

Jovanche says that he searches for truffles in the mountainous and hilly regions of Macedonia, and besides truffles, he is also involved in beekeeping, which gives him the unique opportunity to combine both products into a healthy, delicious, and beneficial treat. As a result, today he is well-known among his friends and family for the truffle honey he produces. The interest in truffle honey is significant, and with that, its demand continues to grow, proving the quality of this product, says Jovanche.

You can check out his product in the Kajak.mk store or with a single click HERE.
