Today, we want to introduce you to Kostadin Vodanov, the first person in Macedonia who produces rakija from Japanese apples. Kostadin is part of our team-building travel programs in the Dojran region. In addition to the Mandri, where you can have lunch with your colleagues and enjoy specialties like grilled fish on a skewer, the southern part of Macedonia also offers tastings of various alcoholic beverages.
Kostadin Vodanov says that the idea came naturally from the desire to create something new. Over the past five years, he experimented, and just last year, after much effort, he succeeded in creating the ideal recipe. Today, he has a machine that crushes and grinds the fruit, transforming it into a mixture that later ages.
Kostadin says that the taste is unique and that he has received many compliments from his close friends and customers.
In addition to the compliments, Kostadin has already earned several awards and recognitions. One of his notable awards was at the "Čuvari Tradicije" event, held in the Apatin area in northern Serbia, where various rakijas from participating countries are promoted. There, he won first place for the best "Grape Rakija."
Kostadin is now part of our Gastronomy database, and we believe that some of you may want to get in touch with him.
