I Built an Eco-Friendly Cabin, Now Available for Rent – Discover Our Sustainable Retreat

Perhaps this is the first truly unique place that we at Kajak.mk would call an accommodation and would add it to our database of private accommodations.

From the very launch of the Kajak.mk platform, we promised ourselves that we would be vigilant seekers of unique places and the remarkable stories of locals in Macedonia that are worth discovering.

Today, in the Kajak.mk database, you can find a plethora of unique accommodations and many local residents with interesting stories to share.

Today, in the world of Kajak.mk, we are joined by Dimče Ackov, a man who lives the dream of spaciousness, peace, silence, and freedom.

Dimče has a unique story and a significant contribution when it comes to promoting and developing tourism in the Veles region. He is someone who tirelessly invests his passion into the creation of the first eco-village in the area of Dolno Orizari, just 4 kilometers from the city of Veles.

Dimče can already take pride in what he has built, along with the workshops he has realized. We are proud to announce that his eco-house is now part of the Kajak.mk database.

This eco-cabin is perfect for day visits, an excellent place to take your children on an educational tour, meet Dimče, and learn many things about how we can use the natural resources that the earth gifts us and how we can live in peace and harmony.

Dimče frequently organizes open weekends, where anyone interested can visit the location.

For those who feel adventurous enough, Dimče says they are welcome to stay overnight. The cabin offers ample space, and during the day, a unique wood-burning stove provides warmth during the winter.

Dimče shared that he built the eco-cabin during the summer months, entirely on his own, without machinery, and in his free time. It took him several summers to complete, or if you count all the days spent on construction, it amounts to a total of 6 months of hard work.

The cabin is primarily built using earth and recycled materials. Through this method, Dimče emphasizes that anyone can see that it is possible to build a house from earth and materials that people typically discard.

The house features a large main dome measuring 30 square meters, along with two smaller rooms, each 6 square meters. Natural light enters through two windows in the main dome and one in each of the smaller auxiliary rooms.

The interior of the main dome features a unique clay floor, a fireplace, and seating for four people. If you're interested in more details about the interior, exact location, additional photos, and reservation contact, click HERE.
