In the monastery’s guesthouse, there is a chapel dedicated to Saints Cyril and Methodius, while outside the monastery complex, there is an old church dedicated to Athanasius of Alexandria, known as the Old Monastery. The monastery was originally founded in 1321 by the Bishop of Polog, Antonius. Its revival is attributed to the arrival of Pejčinović from Mount Athos in 1818, when the monastery’s guesthouse was renovated and the monastery library was established. During this time, Leshok became a center of literature and education. Today, the monastery’s guesthouse has been renovated, offers accommodation, and is especially suitable for summer monastic tourism.
