The brand "Korab Trnica" dates back to the distant year of 1945.
In the heart of Gorna Reka, nestled between the towering Korab, Shara, and Bistra mountains, amidst numerous scattered mountain streams and the Radika river, surrounded by evergreen trees and the majestic sequoia welcoming you, lies the "Korab Trnica" complex. The complex is located 5 kilometers from Lake Mavrovo, on the road to Debar.
The brand "Korab Trnica" dates back to the distant year of 1945. From its inception, the main activity has been sheep farming, leading to the production and independent sale of dairy products and meat through its own stores. "Korab Trnica" became well-known for its traditional products such as "Korab cheese," "Trnisko cheese," and "Trnisko sour milk." Over the years, the company has seen continuous growth and expansion of its activities. In 1974, the "Korab Trnica" restaurant was built and began operations, and later a guest accommodation complex was added. A signature dish at the restaurant became the cornmeal mush, served with sour milk, "Korab cheese," or "Trnisko cheese," which were traditionally made in a dairy and then stored in caves on Mount Korab.
The complex offers various activities such as hunting and fishing, rafting, hiking, camping, cycling, and, what we are particularly proud of, horseback riding tours. These tours include riding to Galicnik or the Korab pastures, with a picnic and lunch package, and a return to the starting point.
