After sending a request, you will receive a response with the total amount, after which you can confirm the reservation.

Discover one of the most authentic traditional food experiences in Macedonia – a hands-on pirostiјa (under-the-dome baking) cooking experience hosted by a local family in the mountain village of Ramne. This is not a restaurant visit, but a real Macedonian village gathering, where food, nature, tradition, and hospitality come together.


Welcome & Traditional Hospitality

Guests are welcomed in true Macedonian style with:

Homemade fruit preserve (slatko) – white or black cherries, figs, or raspberries

A glass of fresh spring water from Ramne village

Traditional Starters & Homemade Appetizers

A rich table of starters is prepared before the cooking begins, including:

Fresh seasonal salad (tomatoes, cabbage, cucumber, peppers, carrots, beetroot)

Local cheese (cow, sheep, or goat)

Wholegrain seed crackers

Appetizers (most often walnuts)

Grilled zucchini

Grilled mushrooms

Olives

Traditional spreads:

Ohrid-style garlic makalo

Homemade hummus

Pindžur

Fried or crushed peppers

Homemade white or yellow rakija



Hands-on Komat (Traditional Pie) Preparation

On the traditional wooden worktable (bljud), guests will find all ingredients and tools needed to prepare one or more komat (traditional Macedonian pies):

Flour

Yeast

Butter

Wooden boards and knives

Fresh cheese (urda / izvarok)

Leek

Spinach

Swiss chard

Guest Participation

Guests are welcome to actively participate in:

Chopping vegetables

Preparing the filling

Kneading the dough

Rolling the dough

Baking process

Fresh Garden Filling



The komat filling is made with:

Leek

Spinach

Swiss chard

Sorrel

Wild nettles

All greens are freshly picked from our garden, combined with:

Homemade village eggs

Fresh local cheese (urda / izvarok)

Pirostija Baking Experience (Under Sač)



Together with the hosts, guests take part in the traditional process of:

Kneading and stretching the dough

Preparing the komat

Baking the komat under the pirostija (sač / iron dome)

Guests are free to photograph and film the entire process.

Serving the Freshly Baked Komat



Once baked, the komat is served hot. Guests may choose to enjoy it with:

Homemade yogurt (kiselo mleko)

Homemade white or red wine

Homemade fruit compote (juice)

 

Drinks Included (Choice Per Guest)

Each guest may choose one option:

2 glasses of homemade red wine

2 glasses of homemade white wine

2 glasses of homemade fruit compote
(cornelian cherries, sour cherries, plums, peaches, blueberries, or mixed)

1 bowl of homemade yogurt

Optional Meat Menu (Advance Notice Required)



For guests who choose the meat menu (number must be confirmed in advance):

Pork Option:

Roast pork (smoked bacon, shoulder, or pork chops)

Two pieces per person



Note:
All meat comes from our own mini-farm, which guests can visit during the experience.



Alternative Meat Options:

Braised veal or chicken
For guests who do not eat pork (from our farm or trusted local farmers).

Unlimited Seasonal Salad

Fresh seasonal salad is continuously replenished and served as a side dish throughout the meal.

 

Homemade Dessert & Warm Drinks

To finish the experience, guests are served a homemade traditional dessert, such as:

Ravani cake

Fruit cake

Scalded cake (poparena torta)

Honey cake (medeno srce)

Served with:

A cup of traditional Turkish coffee
or

A mug of mountain herbal tea collected from Mount Galichica

All food is freshly prepared on the day of the experience

Ingredients come from:

Our own production (eggs, meat, vegetables, fruit)

The surrounding mountains (herbs, wild fruits, mushrooms, tea)

Local villagers (cheese, yogurt, stone-milled flour, homemade butter, natural yeast)

This is our family story and our way of life.
We live close to nature, respect food and tradition, and share this experience openly and sincerely with our guests.
