Basic Information
Golak is a mid-altitude mountain in the eastern part of North Macedonia, located between the Delchevo and Kochani valleys. The massif is approximately 40 kilometers long and 20 kilometers wide. The highest peak is Chavka, reaching 1,538 meters above sea level. Below the peak, there is a tourist and recreational center at around 1,400 meters, approximately 12 kilometers from the town of Delchevo.

Nature and Activities
The mountain is rich in herbs and wild plants collected from April to October, such as thyme, St. John’s wort, mint, and wild strawberries. Various types of mushrooms, including porcini and chanterelles, are also found here. The wildlife includes wild boar, hare, fox, deer, the brown eagle, and several bird species. Golak is ideal for hiking, trekking, and cycling, and there are trails suitable for mountain biking and cross-motor tours.

Golak offers accommodation in villas and weekend houses, featuring panoramic views, gardens, and recreational spaces. Below the peak, there are sports fields for football, basketball, and tennis, and in the past, there was a children’s recreation area.
