Stay at Konak, 1050 Meters Above Sea Level

Starting today, the Kajak.mk base expands with another accommodation — a konak located at an altitude of 1050 meters. Our team introduces you to the hostess Elena, who has opened her doors to our tourists in her konak situated on Mount Vraca, part of the Shar Planina massif, right next to Dolno Jelovce.

Within the konak complex, there is also a restaurant offering a stunning view of the Gostivar valley and the city of Gostivar, which is just 10 kilometers away. The konak is ideally located, easily accessible by car, and situated only 7 kilometers from the regional Skopje–Ohrid road.

The area is quite attractive due to being surrounded by dense forest. If you wander through the woods on a short walk, you might encounter a black woodpecker, or wash and drink fresh mountain water, says Elena. She also recommends climbing the peak “Ramen Kamen.” According to Elena, the surroundings are ideal for gathering herbs or wild fruits, depending on the season.

Warm days are coming, so we want to emphasize that the rooms in the konak stay quite cool even during the hottest months. Elena says they currently have two rooms available, while the other three are undergoing renovation.
