On Kajak.mk, you can find everything you’re interested in regarding wine tourism in Macedonia. We offer a wide selection of wineries you can visit with your family and friends or even with your colleagues.

Following yesterday’s story from the village of Krnjevo, today we move to the Vardar Valley to share the story of Mr. Andon Rizov. A man who dedicated his life to working in Moscow, but whose love for his homeland and desire to craft wine with his own signature inspired him to return to his birthplace.

If you ask someone who has heard of the village of Kurija near Negotino, one of the highlights they’ll mention is the ‘Vardarska Dolina’ Winery, which Mr. Andon established in the year 2000.

For us, the ‘Vardarska Dolina’ Winery is an ambassador and promoter of Macedonia, as it was the first Macedonian winery to reach the Russian market.

The 'Vardarska Dolina' Winery follows the long-standing tradition of this region, while also embracing modern technology, which is continuously advancing in this sector. Today, this technology enables the winery to produce over 800,000 bottles of high-quality wine, including varieties such as Chardonnay, Traminec, Muscat Tamjanika, Vranec, Cabernet Sauvignon, Pinot Noir, and Merlot.

Nearly 90% of the production is exported to key markets such as Russia, Germany, the Czech Republic, Canada, Bulgaria, Croatia, and Serbia, while the remaining portion is distributed on the domestic market.

Today, the winery has its own vineyards of Traminec, Tamjanika, Chardonnay, Cabernet Sauvignon, and Cabernet Franc, spanning an area of 18 hectares. In addition to its own vineyards, the winery collaborates with long-term suppliers, ensuring the monitoring of growth, protection, and maintenance of grape quality.

From the 'Vardarska Dolina' Winery, they emphasize that their wine is the result of experience, tradition, and the love invested from the very inception and development of the winery. They add that their wine is made for people with spirit and for those who know how to appreciate the finer things in life.

Soon, the 'Vardarska Dolina' Winery will open its tasting hall, with more information to be shared shortly.

The exact location of the winery and contact information can be found with a single click HERE.
