Healthy Hazelnut Oil Produced from My Fruit Orchards
Healthy Hazelnut Oil Produced from My Fruit Orchards
What makes us happy is the fact that there are people in Macedonia whose dreams life tried to destroy, but they decided not to give up so easily.
An interesting and inspiring story comes from Zoran of Struga. The man who, starting today, is part of our list of local heroes making small things of great significance in the development of tourism.

Zoran produces cold-pressed hazelnut oil. His life story and the difficult battle with the illness, which he triumphed over, were the main reasons for starting the cultivation of hazelnuts and producing something he calls a remedy for many diseases.
Zoran says that his hazelnut orchards are located five kilometers from the city of Struga, in the village of Lozani, on the right side of the Crn Drim River, at an altitude of 700 meters.

The pristine ecological environment encouraged him to take responsibility and start producing something new, unique, unconventional, and rare on the domestic market. After conducting several studies, they decided that from the fruits they gather from the orchards, they could produce hazelnut oil, which, alongside the butter, would be a new challenge for him and his family.

A month ago, they purchased the machine for production and began writing a new story. Zoran says that the production process is simple, but the most important factor for high-quality oil is having quality hazelnuts.
The process begins with removing the shell and roasting the hazelnuts at a specific temperature. Then, the hazelnuts move to the press where they are squeezed, resulting in high-quality cold-pressed oil, ready for consumption.

It is stored in steel bottles without any additives to preserve its durability and retain the health benefits, which Zoran says are incredible. Starting from various vitamins and acids, calcium, magnesium, iron, and a range of other mineral substances, all combined together, they create the "Elixir for Health."

The oil produced in this way, rich in Omega-3 fatty acids, has helped reduce the risk of heart diseases, lower bad cholesterol, and reduce inflammation. It contains a large amount of monounsaturated fats such as Omega-9, which improve blood circulation, adds the producer.
Zoran's unique story deserves a place in our "Gastronomy" database, where you can find direct contact with him. Additionally, Zoran is a destination included in our offerings for team-building trips, for which you can apply with one click HERE.
