Gathering Mountain Tea from Kozhuf at 1750 Meters Above Sea Level

Do you remember the story that the kajak.mk team shared about the Alchinov Api Center, which has its own chamber in the vicinity of Gevgelija?

Today, you can find their products at the kajak.mk grocery store, and with just one click HERE.

This family beekeeping tradition began in 1878 in the village of Staro Konsko, Kozhuf Mountain, with Kristian's great-great-grandfather, Risto Alchinov (1858-1963), who, at the age of 20, "caught" wild bees and settled them in primitive hives – "trmki." From there, his son, great-grandfather Trajko Alchinov (1905-1993), continued to raise bee colonies, even after moving to Gevgelija. He maintained apiaries both in the village and in the town until 1960 when he brought the first Dadan-Blatt hives from Germany, modern hives with movable frames and increased production.

Today, the Alchinov Beekeeping Farm has a total of 5 apiaries: 2 stationary and 3 migratory, 1 breeding station for bee queens, 1 educational apiary, and the Risto Alchinov Apitherapy Center, located in Gevgelija on the road to the village of Mrzenci (Sport Hotel Nar). This is where the apiary chamber and honey shop are stationed, which you can view HERE.
