We Donated a 60,000 MKD Park and Supported the Sale of 450 Bottles of Wine

We Donated a 60,000 MKD Park and Supported the Sale of 450 Bottles of Wine

On November 27th, the team at Kajak.mk successfully organized the inaugural volunteer event titled "Ecology and Wine." This event took place in the city of Kavadarci, where, as part of the company's commitment to sustainability, trees were donated and planted in Macedonia's first city park. The initiative was carried out through the reforestation program of Kajak Agency, highlighting our dedication to environmental responsibility and community engagement while fostering positive social impact.

The planted trees, valued at 60,000 MKD, were sourced from the Kavadarci branch of "National Forests." The reforestation initiative was carried out in collaboration with the companies that partnered with the Kajak.mk platform during 2022. This effort underscores our commitment to fostering partnerships that contribute to environmental sustainability while further strengthening our community ties.

The reforestation initiative was carried out at the location with coordinates 41.434480, 21.999857. Interested individuals are welcome to visit the site and experience our new concept, which we aim to maintain in the years ahead. This concept focuses on investing resources into the creation of parks across cities throughout Macedonia. Following a thorough analysis, we have concluded that such actions are of great significance to the local population, contributing to cleaner urban air and directly impacting tourism by enhancing the aesthetic appeal of cities.

The park has been reforested with trees such as "Spruce" and "Juniperus horizontalis," which were sourced from "National Forests" and distributed to the reforestation site.

Following the successful eco-action, the team at Kajak.mk, for the first time in its history, organized a volunteer-driven wine festival. Through this event, we provided direct support to small family wineries from the Tikveš region, fostering the growth of local businesses and promoting the unique wine culture of the area.

At the event, nearly 450 bottles of wine from small family wineries were sold. On the other hand, guests had the opportunity to explore new wineries, taste a variety of wine flavors, and, of course, purchase their favorite wines. This event not only supported local winemakers but also provided an enriching experience for wine enthusiasts.

The event featured 10 family wineries, all members of the "Association of Family Wineries." For many of the participating wineries, the team at Kajak.mk has already shared various reading materials, and some of these wineries can be found in our "Gastronomy" database. This initiative not only highlighted local wineries but also promoted their offerings to a broader audience.

The event lasted from 11:00 AM to 3:00 PM, and what brought us the most joy was the fact that, despite the unfavorable weather forecast for November 27th, the companies accepted our invitation to attend the fair with their colleagues and show support for the small family wineries. Their participation contributed to the success of the event, emphasizing the community's commitment to supporting local businesses.

We would like to extend our heartfelt gratitude to the companies that attended the wine fair and supported this meaningful event: Cargo Runner Co, Dimpal, Комерцијална Банка, Polar Cape, Markart, Panteleon GS, Schneider Electric, Frontwise Group, Dental Art, and Лазарев Сметководство. Without their presence and support, this event, which has a significant social impact, would have remained just an idea on a piece of paper for Kajak.mk. Their involvement was instrumental in bringing the vision to life and making it a success.

Events of this socially responsible nature will continue in the future, and we expect them to evolve into a tradition that guarantees continuous support for small family wineries. For companies interested in being guests at our next major wine fair, please note that it will take place on May 24, 2023 (Wednesday), a non-working day. If you would like to reserve your spot, please send us a request at [email protected].

The all-day volunteer event, titled "Wine and Ecology," was supported by many stakeholders without whom we, as a platform and movement, would not have been able to carry it out.

The team at Kajak.mk extends its deepest gratitude to the key figures from the municipality of Kavadarci, namely Krste Sokolov from the tourism sector and Done Ilov, responsible for the reforestation of the city. Their excellent communication and on-the-ground logistics contributed to the success of this wonderful event, making an ordinary day extraordinary.

A huge thank you to all the volunteers who contributed to the realization of this socially responsible project. We would also like to express our gratitude to the guys from the band ChillOut, who have been our right hand during the events we organize. Together with ChillOut, we have previously carried out several volunteer environmental actions to clean waste from tourist sites, and in the upcoming period, we will be conducting an action to reforest new trees. Their ongoing support and dedication to sustainability have been invaluable to the success of our initiatives.

We also extend our heartfelt gratitude to the Zingiber atelier and our young artist Bojan, without whom the wine fair would not have received its vibrant color. We have often written about Zingiber, and their unique atelier is open for visits at any time. Their contribution added a special artistic touch, enriching the overall experience of the event.

Together with Bojan, we are already launching our new exclusive events, titled "Art & Wine." These private pre-New Year's events, named "Pre-New Year's Wine Rooms," will be organized throughout the entire month of December. These events will combine art and wine in a unique atmosphere, offering a special experience for our guests.

Dear clients, partners, and all those who live in the world of "Kajak.mk," and those who feel and support our movement, we would like to express our sincere gratitude for your ongoing support. We would also like to extend a huge thank you to the companies that donated funds for reforestation but were unable to attend the wine fair due to valid reasons. Our heartfelt thanks go to Support & Solutions Center, Strategic Development Consulting, Singular, Seavus, Masac Solution, KRKA, Arhitekton Dizajn, Damilah, DigiDive, and Žito Prom. Your contributions have been invaluable in making our projects a success.

New reforestation actions for urban areas will be carried out in the spring, in a new municipality, and with new challenges.

Plant a tree, no matter where or when!
