Building an Ecological Story and Supporting Local Producers
Building an Ecological Story and Supporting Local Producers
Another beautiful story arrives in the world of Kajak.mk. This time, it's from two heroine women who, with combined efforts, produce cosmetics aimed at raising ecological awareness among citizens, supporting local producers, and proving to young people in Macedonia that success can be achieved here if they invest love in what they do.
Kajak.mk: We are thrilled to have such innovative women in the country. Could you tell us what motivated you to start such a business?
BLOOM: We have always had an interest in handmade production. For many years, before we started selling our cosmetics, we made them for our personal use, for close friends and family, and that’s actually how our story began. People started to get to know us, and we had an increasing demand and interest in sales. That’s when we decided to open our company.
Kajak.mk: What products can be found in your offer?
BLOOM: Some of our products include soaps, face creams, sunscreens, deodorants, lip balms, ointments, body and face butters, body and face scrubs, and lip scrubs. We are also working on new products, so soon we will be expanding our product range.
Kajak.mk: What is the production process?
BLOOM: For the production of our products, we use only high-quality oils and herbs. We most often use ingredients from local producers and rarely order from abroad because we always strive to support our local manufacturers. Some of the herbs we use in our products, we harvest ourselves, and many of the oils we use are also made by us.
Kajak.mk: What we’ve heard is quite interesting. But what was the main motivation that led you to dedicate yourselves to this? Perhaps you come from a family that was also involved in something similar? Who passed the knowledge on to you?
BLOOM: The skill comes from our ancestors. They were very skilled in creating and working with nature, had a deep knowledge and love for herbs, something that fortunately was passed down to us as well. By hand and under much more difficult conditions than we have now, they made all sorts of creams, balms, soaps...
Kajak.mk: What attracts your customers the most? What do they ask the most?
BLOOM: The most attention is drawn to the handmade process of our products. People often ask us how we make them and are curious about the entire production process, especially when it comes to the making of our creams. Something we’ve noticed that attracts people more and more, and we’re very happy about it, is our eco-friendly approach. For our product packaging, we exclusively use paper and glass. Additionally, the glass packaging is returnable, which means that you can return it during your next order and receive a small discount as motivation to help us manage the waste we leave behind.
Kajak.mk: Thank you for your time. Kajak.mk will definitely collaborate with people like you in our online marketplace, but in the meantime, we’ll have many questions from our travelers, people who are searching for new experiences, and surely some of them will want to purchase your products. Where can they find you?
BLOOM: People who are interested in buying our products can contact us and place an order through our pages.
