Accommodation in Struga from a Third Dimension

Accommodation in Struga from a Third Dimension

The Kajak.mk team is taking you to Struga today — one of the destinations that’s set to be very attractive for the upcoming season, especially considering the new and modern accommodation options built there. Judging by how things are progressing, we can say the city is developing, which encourages more tourists to visit.

Speaking of new and modern accommodations, our team today wants to introduce you to one such place: Hotel Bograd, located right in the heart of Struga.

Tourists who choose to spend their vacation at this hotel should know that the hotel management organizes tours with local guides, allowing guests to explore and learn a lot about the region.

“Our hotel is located in the center of Struga, right next to the new promenade and in the heart of Struga’s old bazaar. The beaches are just 200 meters from the hotel. It is luxuriously equipped, featuring original modern architectural solutions and adhering to world-class standards of operation and quality. The design inspiration comes from Lake Ohrid itself,” say the hotel management.

The ceiling in the lounge bar is inspired by the waves of the lake, while the wood used in the interior design draws inspiration from the lake’s reeds. The colors throughout the hotel feature shades of green, brown, and gray.

The rooms are designed to meet every guest’s needs and are equipped with TV, air conditioning, minibar, and hotel-quality toiletries.

The hotel’s lounge bar is located on the 3rd floor and offers views of the city and the bazaar. The restaurant serves pasta, chicken and beef burgers, with the signature dish being the Bograd Burger — a must-try.

One great benefit of staying at Hotel Bograd is that guests can explore all of Struga on foot, and there’s no need for a car to reach the beach.

The hotel organizes several guided day tours for guests:

  • A day tour to Kališta and Radožda with visits to the monastery complex Presveta Bogorodica, the village of Kališta, the Cave Church of St. Athanasius in Kališta, and the Cave Church of St. Archangel Michael in Radožda.

  • A guided day tour to Vevčani to visit the famous Vevčani Springs.

  • A guided day tour to Podgoreshki Bachila, including a walk through the natural beauty of the springs, climbing Crveni Kamen at 1500 meters above sea level, and Podgorečko Lake at 1960 meters, with the option to go horseback riding.

  • A guided day tour to Labuniški Bachila, with a nature walk, a hike to Labiniško Lake, climbing Strižak Peak at 2233 meters, and Crni Kamen Peak at 2257 meters — the highest peaks of the Jablanica mountain.

  • A city tour with a guide, including a walk through the bazaar, a visit to the Miladinovci Memorial House, the Natural Science Museum, a stroll along the Crn Drim River, a visit to the Bridge of Poetry, and a walk along Lake Ohrid.
