Dojran – A Hidden Gem in Southeastern Macedonia
Dojran is a small, but beautiful town in the southeastern part of Macedonia, known for Dojran Lake, which is one of the warmest lakes in the country. It is located near the border with Greece and is a popular tourist destination, especially during the summer months.
The town is divided into two parts: Old Dojran and New Dojran.
Old Dojran has historical significance, as it was destroyed during World War I, while New Dojran is a newer settlement where tourism is developing.
It is about 160 km from Skopje. That’s why we will depart in the morning hours.
In Dojran and its surroundings, we will visit two very important churches.
St. Elijah Church in the village of Furka, declared as an important cultural heritage. Built in 1848.
St. Mary Magdalene Church located in Old Dojran.
The next destination is the Monument of Dojrana.

If not, on this tour you will have the opportunity to learn much more about the founding of the town of Dojran and how it got its name from the locals. Right at the place where the Monument of Dojrana stands, you will be greeted by a legend that you will never forget.
Dojran has many craftsmen and local heroes that are worth meeting.
In the afternoon, we will finish the tour with a wonderful lunch by Dojran Lake.
We will depart for Skopje in the evening hours.
