One-Day Wine Tour at the Royal Winery Queen Maria
The Royal Winery Queen Maria is located about an hour and a half from the capital city, Skopje. It was established in 1928 by Serbian King Alexander Karađorđević, following recommendations from experts from France and Austria.
When it was commissioned in 1931, the winery's capacity was 150,000 liters of wine, produced using four glass basins from Austria and wooden barrels with a capacity of 4,000 to 6,000 liters, imported directly from Serbia.
Upon arrival from Skopje, the tour begins with a visit to the surrounding area and famous attractions of the region. We then head to the winery, where we will be welcomed by a professional team.
Next is a tour of the winery with a professional local guide, wine tasting, and pairing with appropriate delicacies.
After the tour, lunch is served, prepared with the finest local ingredients.
Following lunch, there is time for individual walks around the winery and its surroundings, and for photography.
The tour ends with a return to Skopje in the afternoon hours.
