A tour through the villages of Ohrid is a fantastic way to experience the traditional way of life, authentic architecture, and stunning nature that the rural areas around Lake Ohrid have to offer.

Part of the tour includes walking, while another part will have organized transportation.

The villages are located at the foothills of Galičica, a majestic mountain massif that separates Lake Ohrid and Lake Prespa, offering breathtaking panoramic views and unique natural beauty. As part of Galičica National Park, this mountain is home to rich biodiversity, rare plant and animal species, and numerous hiking and biking trails. With its green slopes, rocky peaks, and fresh air, Galičica is a true paradise for adventure lovers, hikers, and nature enthusiasts.

The starting point of the tour will be determined based on the group's preferences and their accommodation in Ohrid.

We will visit:

Gorno Konjsko – The trail to Gorno Konjsko is popular among hikers and nature lovers, as it offers tranquility, fresh air, and a feeling of stepping back in time. Once a vibrant village, today it is known for its authentic Macedonian architecture, untouched nature, and spectacular views of Lake Ohrid.

Elshani – A small, peaceful village with preserved Macedonian architecture and warm-hearted hosts. It is known for its clean air and hiking opportunities toward Galičica. For those seeking an authentic experience, this is the place to try homemade cheese, honey, and traditional dishes.

Trpejca – A stunning fishing village, often referred to as the pearl of Lake Ohrid's shore. It is famous for its crystal-clear beaches, fish specialties, and welcoming locals.

Ljubaništa – Known for its proximity to the Saint Naum Monastery and the springs of the Black Drim River.

Peštani – A charming fishing village located between Ohrid and Saint Naum, known for its traditional houses, hospitable locals, and authentic fish delicacies.

The tour will conclude in Ramne, where we will enjoy a traditional Macedonian lunch, take part in a cooking class, and witness a beautiful sunset.

This is a full-day tour, starting early in the morning and ending in the evening. The tour can also be organized from Skopje, with an early morning departure and return in the evening.
