Weekend Gastro Destination Recommendation: Village Brvenica

Weekend Gastro Destination Recommendation: Village Brvenica

The team at Kajak.mk continues its gastro-caravan in 2023. Our goal for 2023 is to fill the "Gastronomy" section with 200 recommended gastro spots where you can taste great food, enjoy a unique atmosphere, and make the most of your free time with walks and recreation.

The first gastro destination for 2023 is the village of Brvenica, near Tetovo. For those who haven’t heard of Brvenica, it's a charming village located in the vicinity of Tetovo, at an altitude of 440 meters, offering a stunning view of the Šar Mountain. Along with the nearby village of Dolno Sedlarce, it forms a large modern settlement. The river Barda passes through the area, and the village is close to the Sova Gora mountain.

Today, in the heart of the largest cherry orchard in the Polog region, you will find the new restaurant complex, Electra Garden. Just a 20-minute drive from Skopje, you can enjoy lunch or dinner in an idyllic rustic setting within a beautiful garden spanning over 10,000 m².

Electra Garden features beautiful gazebos, a summer terrace, and an exceptional indoor restaurant with a central fireplace and tables arranged on two levels.

For those who decide to visit the restaurant, they should know that here they can taste specialties prepared with selected homemade smoked meats, aged cheese, Šar cheese, wild mushrooms, and vegetables from local producers. House specialties include: Paflak with leek, stuffed tomato specialties, chicken fillet, lamb chops, slow-roasted ribs, as well as standard salads, Tetovo-style tavče gravče, and local desserts.
