Weekend Gastro Destination Recommendation: Ethno Restaurant Markov Monastery
Weekend Gastro Destination Recommendation: Ethno Restaurant Markov Monastery
About twenty kilometers from Skopje, just before the village of Markova Sushica, is the ethno restaurant Markov Manastir. It’s an ideal gastro destination for the residents of Skopje during the hot summer days! The excellent elevation, dense forest, and beautiful nature will make your meal more delicious compared to eating at home.
For those who decide to visit the ethno restaurant, it’s important to note that the village and the region are famous for the Marko Monastery, which is located in a picturesque landscape. The monastery was built in the middle of the 14th century by the Macedonian ruler King Marko.

The restaurant and the monastery can be excellent stopover destinations for a wonderful weekend tour that you can organize.
You can find the exact location and contact information for reservations with one click HERE. For those who decide to visit the restaurant, our advice is to try the homemade pie, pindjur, homemade sausage, the "Markov Manastir" casserole, oven-baked ribs, and meat with leek.
The restaurant has been in operation for 15 years, and for the past 3 years, it has been managed by new managers.
