Have You Visited the Village of Vratnica and the Chorbajiski An?
Have you ever heard of the village of Vratnica, or perhaps visited it already? For those who haven't heard of this charming village yet, we are excited to inform you that we are adding a wonderful gastronomic destination to our list for the first time, and it should definitely be part of your summer itinerary.

Vratnica is a village located 22 kilometers from the town of Tetovo, towards the border crossing of Jazince. This village can be said to thrive from tourism, with a special focus on mountain and active tourism. However, the region also offers gastronomic experiences that you should not miss.
Above the village stands the beautiful mountain peak Ljuboten, which is a true challenge for any hiker. The village itself is surrounded by stunning natural beauty, including the Vratnica River that flows through the village and forms a large canyon, one of the many attractions in the area.

Here, you will find the ethno house "Čorbajdžiski An," located at an altitude of around 720 meters. This hospitality establishment is accessible by all types of motor vehicles, including vans and buses.
The ethno restaurant has been in operation for 2 years, overcoming the challenges of the pandemic and continuing to build its traditional story, rich with Macedonian cuisine. What the Kajak.mk team has learned is that soon, apartments for accommodation will also be available within the restaurant.

The building was constructed in 1937 as a residential house, later adapted into a restaurant, but the original structure and old architecture have been preserved.
It is known for its delicious homemade food. Here, traditional dishes are prepared, including grilled meat, oven-baked meals with wood, and guests frequently seek the stuffed Čorbajdžiska pljeskavica and ribs baked in a wood-fired oven. Other specialties include stuffed cabbage or vine leaf sarma and tavče gravče, which are signature dishes for this establishment. The menu also features homemade brandies made from quince, apricot, apple, as well as excellent Muscat grape brandy, homemade pies, and greens.

The hosts who opened their doors to the world of Kajak.mk say that the impressions are almost always primarily about the architectural design, as well as the delicious food for which the guests recognize them. The peace and fresh air offered by this region are also noteworthy.
