Unique Hideaway on the Shore of Lake Prespa

Unique Hideaway on the Shore of Lake Prespa

From Ponikva, we travel to Lake Prespa, where we meet the host Rumjana, whose unique accommodation "Galaxy Apartments" is now part of the kajak.mk network. Rumjana says that her accommodation is ideal for young couples and families with small children who are looking for quiet and peaceful locations for their stay.

The "Galaxy" Apartments are located 100 meters from the beach, offering a beautiful view of the lush garden.

The apartments feature a restaurant situated right by the lakeshore, providing a perfect setting for enjoying your breakfast, lunch, dinner, or while sipping your morning coffee. This is a great opportunity for those who have no intention of preparing meals during their vacation but simply want to indulge in the experience.

Our recommendation is to try the baked Prespa carp, a local specialty, and of course, enjoy desserts made from fresh local fruits.

Rumjana's home boasts a large green yard, surrounded by trees and vibrant flowers. The beach is well-maintained and clean, as she mentions that hygiene is a priority for her, and she ensures there is no waste around it. Before the pandemic, Rumjana used to organize beach parties. We’re sure that many of you reading this right now are missing a cocktail, the beach, and a sunset, aren’t you?

She says that the "White Sensation" parties contribute to making Lake Prespa stand shoulder to shoulder with global tourist destinations.

Although parties are currently limited, at Galaxy, private family celebrations, seminars, sports activities, team-building events, and perhaps even modern sunset weddings can be organized.

Rumjana mentions that if a quality service is provided, like the one they offer during the season, there would be no end to it. During the autumn and winter months, some tourists opt for longer stays here, so they can work online from their laptops while enjoying walks along the lake.

If you choose to stay at the "Galaxy" Apartments, our team recommends visiting the local villages of Dolno Dupeni, Brajchino, and Oteshevo, where you can enjoy the rustic idyll.

Our recommendation is to visit the Galicica National Park, where you can bike or gather wild herbs to take home.

The apartments are the perfect accommodation for those seeking peace and tranquility, and of course, ideal for sunset views. You can find more information about them with just one click HERE.
