A gem of the Maleševo Mountains is Berovo Lake. This artificial lake stretches alongside towering pine trees. It is located near the village of Ratevo, 6 kilometers from the town of Berovo, at an altitude of 1,000 meters. The area around the lake offers beautiful terrains for picnics, recreation, and sports.

In May, you can witness the blooming pines, and in July and August, you can take a swim in the lake waters. There are five hiking trails, some of which can also be explored by bicycle. There is also a transversal trail connecting the southernmost and northernmost parts of Maleševo, stretching 45 kilometers with an elevation difference of 730 meters – a true challenge even for the most avid enthusiasts.
