Stay in Ohrid’s Old Town with a Million-Dollar View

Stay in Ohrid’s Old Town with a Million-Dollar View

Warm today, isn’t it?

The warm weather is a sign of a great summer season ahead, and with it comes the message that it’s time to plan your summer vacation. The Kajak.mk team is happy that our database of private accommodations where you can spend your holiday is filled with the most beautiful places in Macedonia. We’re glad that more and more hosts of villas and apartments are open to sharing their summer stories on Kajak.mk.

Today, we bring you the story of a villa located in the beautiful old part of Ohrid, offering a million-dollar view. The hosts, Marija and Risto, are known for their excellent hospitality ratings. Over coffee and a view of the lake, the hosts shared with us the history of the villa and the love they have dedicated to their work.

Mrs. Marija says that tourists come to them primarily because of the beautiful location. Their villa is situated in the heart of the old town, which means history. Starting from significant historical and cultural landmarks in Ohrid, all the way to Kaneo Beach, restaurants, and cafes.

Marija says that the villa is located very close to the Church of St. Clement, Plaošnik, and the ancient theater. Above the villa, there is a pine forest, which is perfect for morning walks, meditation, and enjoying the silence.

Mr. Risto adds that the villa has a beautiful green yard that allows guests to relax and share conversations about the city’s culture. Speaking of Ohrid’s culture, it’s important to highlight that the villa is also near the ancient theater, the Church of St. Sophia, and the Dolni Saraj stage, where some of the events of the "Ohrid Summer" festival take place, showcasing top musical and theatrical performances.

According to guest reviews, the hospitality of the new hosts who are part of the Kajak.mk network is excellent, followed closely by the stunning eastward view that offers beautiful sunrises.

Besides exploring the old town, guests can take a boat excursion from the port, which is just a 10-minute walk from the villa. For mountain lovers, marked hiking trails in Petrino are only a half-hour walk away, and Galichica National Park is a 30-minute drive.
