Mountain house with a view of Bistra available for reservations

Mountain house with a view of Bistra available for reservations

It's the perfect time to visit the Rostuše and Mavrovo region. The Kajak.mk team advises you to be cautious on the road and to have the necessary winter equipment, considering the weather conditions and the arrival of winter.

For many of you, the village of Žirovnica region is a hidden gem. You would agree that only a small percentage of us truly know what this area offers and what can be explored nearby.

To inspire you to consider exploring this area, we’ve decided to add another unique mountain home located near the village of Žirovnica, which, along with Boletin, lies right on the border between the Mijak villages and Gorna Reka.

The village is situated on the right side of the Radika River, on the eastern slopes between the Korab and Dešat mountains. It’s a mountain village, making it especially attractive for lovers of the mountains and active tourism.

The mountain home near Žirovnica, now part of the Kajak.mk base, is located at an altitude of about 950 meters.

We met the host Daut, who built this accommodation with his own hands. The exterior is made of wood and stone, while the interior is mostly wood, giving you that beautiful mountain feeling.

The view from the home is directed towards Mount Bistra, and what makes this place ideal for a stay is the fact that it is about 700 meters away from the village, offering privacy and tranquility.

In the vicinity of the home, you can find many marked hiking trails, as well as a mountain biking trail. About 6 kilometers from the home is the monastery of St. Joachim Bigorski, and in the region, there are also many Mijak villages that are ideal to visit during the spring and summer seasons.
