Lakeside Villa with a Spacious Yard and Garden: For Those Seeking Tranquility

Lakeside Villa with a Spacious Yard and Garden: For Those Seeking Tranquility

Day by day, the Kajak.mk database is growing — from mountains to rivers and lakes. Every place where you can stay overnight will be added to our collection of private accommodations.

Soon, we will reach 100 accommodations available in our database. And in the new year 2021, if the pandemic situation improves, we plan to start adding villas and apartments outside the borders of Macedonia that you’ll be able to book with just one click on Kajak.mk.

Today, we’re taking you to Lake Prespa. Many tourists aren’t fans of mountains or skiing, so to accommodate them, we’ll be sharing villas located along Macedonia’s beautiful lakeshores.

If you’ve ever wondered what to do at Lake Prespa when staying at Villa Kirjana, the Kajak.mk eco team shares some tips:

Pretor is a well-known tourist spot in Macedonia, famous for its summer resorts, sandy beaches, winter recreation center, hospitality venues, and numerous weekend houses.

Several hundred weekend houses are lined up from the place where the old water pumping station for irrigating the Prespa Field once stood, all the way to the outskirts of the village of Slivnica. Many of these beautiful houses are permanent residences.

Not far from Pretor is the village of Kurbinovo, located 2 km from the northeastern shore of the Great Prespa Lake, at the foothills of Baba Mountain, specifically its branch called Golema Chuka. It sits at an altitude of 950 meters and has around 130 residents.

Kurbinovo is an old Christian village that has always been home to Orthodox Macedonians. It is often called the village of old watermills.

Around Prespa Lake, many wild animals live freely. Our advice is to be cautious if you venture alone into Galichica National Park.

For the “lazy” tourists who want to spend the whole day at the accommodation, Villa Kirjana offers a huge yard where you can soak up the winter sun. The villa is quite modern and can meet the needs of every traveler. It’s located just a 5-minute walk from the lake.
