From a Small Pizzeria to a Full-Fledged Hotel

From a Small Pizzeria to a Full-Fledged Hotel

In Macedonia, there are stories that deserve all our attention—stories that should serve as a lesson that success is possible here if we remain persistent and patient.

On this cold December day, we’ll warm your hearts with the story of Nikola Trpenovski, the man who first opened the pizza bar “Kapri” in the Old Bitola Bazaar back in 1995.

Relaxed in the modern bar of the “Kapri” hotel with a warm tea in hand, the Kajak.mk team enjoyed listening to the story of Mr. Nikola, beautifully shared through memories and photos by his daughter Andrea. For Andrea, “Kapri” is a lifelong passion, love, and guiding light—something that encourages her to keep going and keep striving, despite the challenges the pandemic has posed to tourism and hospitality.

Andrea tells us that just three years after the opening of the pizza bar “Kapri,” it grew into a restaurant with a capacity of up to 120 people at a new location.

Family love and constant care for the family business have enabled its excellent growth.

“The commitment to being successful in what you do will one day come back to you with great respect from your guests and, of course, with the opportunity to invest even more in the story,” Andrea adds.

Good management and dedication culminated in the establishment of their first building, where after six years they relocated the restaurant and continued to build their story at a new location in their own property.

The new building was constructed outside the city hustle, where guests can enjoy a peaceful and quiet environment. This new facility opened in 2005 and initially housed only the restaurant, with a capacity of 100 people. Just four years later, the hotel within the same building began operating, and today it offers 20 rooms and a seminar hall.

Within the complex, there is a banquet hall for events with a capacity of up to 300 guests, an “À la carte” restaurant that can accommodate up to 100 guests, a beautiful open terrace overlooking the garden, and a children's playground—these are the newest parts of the hotel, built in 2021.

The staff at “Kapri” have been part of the family for over 10 years, and that’s something that makes us proud of our work. The most important thing is that everyone who steps into our establishment feels happy. Whether they’re working or visiting as a guest, at “Kapri” the rule is that we all should be happy, says Andrea.

The advantage of the hotel is its location at the foot of Baba Mountain—just 5 kilometers from the Nizhe Pole ski center and 9 kilometers from Pelister National Park. For travelers who want to spend their days in the mountains and their nights in the city of Bitola, we can say that “Kapri” is the ideal place to stay.

The area around the hotel is very quiet, with some rooms offering beautiful views of Pelister and others overlooking the city of Bitola.

The hotel’s reputation as an ideal place for rest and relaxation is proven by the frequent visits of many well-known domestic and Balkan personalities, including the handball club “Vardar,” Lepa Brena, Saša Kovačević, and many others.

We’re sure you want to learn more about the hotel, see more photos, and book your stay. If you want more information about the accommodation, click HERE.
