Experience Authentic Macedonian Traditional Cuisine

Experience Authentic Macedonian Traditional Cuisine

The pandemic opened many eyes and changed the mindset about healthy living—especially how important physical activity and wholesome nutrition truly are. Healthy, natural eating means consuming a variety of foods that are as unprocessed as possible.

As the elders wisely say: “Everything that comes from the earth is healthy!” But beyond food variety, the way food is prepared is also crucial.

Today, we’re adding another property to the Kajak database — “Pansion Kutmichevica” in Vevchani, where the management’s top priority is healthy, homemade food. This establishment offers accommodation rooms as part of its restaurant complex.

By staying here, you’ll experience authentic ethno style and warm hospitality that will make you feel right at home. The delicious food you taste will stay in your memory and remind you of your grandmother’s traditional specialties.

Vevchani is famous for its “own passports” and the Vevchani Carnival, held during Vasilica. The Vevchani Springs are also a must-see. Be sure to set aside a day to visit the Vevchani Springs — for the people of Vevchani, these springs are truly something worth fighting for.

After visiting the springs, we recommend spending your free time exploring the village of Gorna Belica, located in the Drimkol region in the western part of Struga municipality. This mountain village sits at a high altitude of 1,420 meters above sea level.

Pansion Kutmichevica is located in the municipality of Vevchani, in the upper part of the village, offering a stunning view of the surrounding mountains, nearby villages, Lake Ohrid, Struga, and Ohrid. For more information about the accommodation, click HERE.
