Cottage in Lesnovo: Surrounded by Nature and Greenery – for Free

Cottage in Lesnovo: Surrounded by Nature and Greenery – for Free

Whoever asks us about our goal for 2022, we at Kajak always say that our aim is to add as many accommodations as possible in unique locations—places where it's rare to find a stay online. Our mission is to convince every host to open their doors to the world of Kajak.mk and begin writing a happy story, because as we often like to say: Happiness is what’s missing in Macedonia.

Meeting new people and sharing life stories is what makes each of us a more fulfilled person, enriched with new knowledge and inspired to keep building what we truly aspire to achieve.

Today, we’re happy to share that for the first time in the history of Kajak.mk, we’ve added a new accommodation located in Lesnovo—a village many will recognize for the renowned Lesnovo Monastery.

The host Trajche is a new addition among the many who have opened their doors to our travelers. His weekend cottage features a spacious yard, a newly built structure, and all the necessary elements for a comfortable stay.

There’s plenty to see and do in Lesnovo to make the most of your free time. Dedicate one day to exploring the history of the monastery, another for hiking the local trails, a day for visiting the caves, and one more for a gastronomic experience at the three local restaurants found here.

According to the experience of local residents, tourists are most interested in the caves, which in the past served as cells where many monks once lived. Legend has it that the caves were formed when locals were digging for ore. Later, they were inhabited by hermits and ascetics, who were once numerous in this region.

For those who enjoy active tourism, we recommend hiking to “Ilinski Peak,” where you can visit the unique hermitage of St. Gavril and at the same time enjoy panoramic views of Jakupica, Skopska Crna Gora, Shar Mountain, the Osogovo Mountains, and many others.

This weekend cottage is ideal for a getaway from the city. If you want more information, photos, and contact details for booking, click HERE.
