Adding an 'Autism-Friendly' Ethno Restaurant to the Kajak.mk Database

Adding an 'Autism-Friendly' Ethno Restaurant to the Kajak.mk Database

Do You Remember the Story We Published Last Year, Which Was Related to Viktor from Bosilovo? A Young Boy with Autism Who Helps His Father in the Family Restaurant. If You Haven't Read the Story, You Can Check It Out with One Click HERE.

One Year After the Story on Kajak, We Are Happy to Inform You That the Restaurant 'At Viktor' Is Now Officially Certified as an 'Autism-Friendly' Hospitality Facility in Macedonia. Therefore, Starting Today, You Can Book It Through Our 'Gastronomy' Database or with One Click HERE.

The Owner and Father of Viktor, Kosta Timov, Shares with Kajak That Earning the 'Autism-Friendly' License Involves a Process of Learning Many New Things.

Kosta explains that the process is divided into two parts. The first part involves an examination by a professional international commission that follows European and global standards, while the second part is about adapting the facility according to the required conditions.

Currently, the 'At Viktor' Ethno Restaurant meets 80% of the requirements, with the remaining 20% to be implemented in the next 6 months. These include a personal garden with permaculture and a restroom for people with disabilities.

Kosta mentions that the proximity to the river allows them to organize hiking, ride bicycles with special tricycles, and host various cultural and inclusive events throughout the year.

They are happy that they have had many collaborations so far and are proud that their ethno restaurant has been visited by many parents of children with special needs, with whom they mutually help and share experiences.

Kosta is pleased with the promotion he received from Kajak.mk. He says that over the past year, they have welcomed new guests and met new collaborators, with whom they have implemented fresh ideas.

Kosta and Viktor's main focus is on delicious and healthy food. Kosta says that guests are satisfied with the flavors, and the most requested dishes include rustic meat, mixed salads, gluten-free menus, homemade greens, macala, and similar specialties.

Kosta is happy that Viktor is making new friends. He says that even though they spend short periods together, if there's a desire to socialize, Viktor is always open to it. Kosta adds that Viktor is constantly learning and investing in inclusion.

Most often, the guests at the Ethno Restaurant are families who come for a family lunch, and family celebrations are frequently organized as well. Seminars, team-building events, and veteran basketball friends of Kosta from all over Macedonia are also part of the activities.
