For many of you, it may still be unknown that in Vevčani stands the Pupin family house, the family from which Mihajlo Pupin originates. For those who haven’t heard of Mihajlo Pupin, he was a scientist especially credited for the development of electrical engineering and telecommunications worldwide, and he is considered one of the greatest physicists and electrical engineers.

If you know Pupin well, you will surely be surprised by the fact that from today you can book a stay at “Pupin’s House,” where his family once lived.

The house is located in the center of Vevčani. It was built in 1880 by Mihajlo’s family. The neighborhood and the alley, traditionally known as Pupin’s, gain new life and charm with the house’s renovation and restoration, attracting many tourists.

The interior of the house is truly authentic. If you stay here, you will feel the spirit of the home where the family once lived. The old wooden gate leading to the beautiful courtyard, which captivates with its ethno style, has been preserved. Inside the memorial house, you can see the handcrafted chestnut wood staircase and rooms with traditional hearths—fireplaces that add to the historic charm.

The house offers three guest rooms. Two of the rooms have one double bed and one single bed each, while the third room has only a double bed. All rooms are equipped with private bathrooms, and one of the rooms also features a private terrace. This accommodation is ideal for those looking to explore and study the village of Vevchani.

You can visit the springs, go hiking, and there is also a tennis court to enjoy your free time with physical activities.
