Rural Tourism in Macedonia: An Authentic Experience You Must Feel
The kajak.mk team is dedicated to constantly researching and
unveiling the unique treasures of Macedonia. Our mission is to show you that
Macedonia is home to many breathtaking destinations where you should plan to
stay. From mountain resorts to lakeside retreats, we highlight hidden gems that
offer both natural beauty and a chance to unwind in some of the most
picturesque parts of the country.
Today, with great joy, we take you to the village of Ehloec,
a truly unique destination. It is the only village located on the eastern side
of Bistra-Stogovo, positioned at an altitude of about 1,000 meters. This scenic
village offers a peaceful atmosphere and breathtaking views, making it an ideal
spot for those looking to explore Macedonia's natural beauty.
If you're interested in making a reservation,

village.
For those looking to immerse themselves in nature, enjoy the
fresh mountain air, or indulge in well-prepared local cuisine, the mountain hut
is a must-visit. It offers unique bungalows for an unforgettable stay,
providing both comfort and a deep connection to the surrounding landscape.
Visitors can savour a variety of traditional Macedonian dishes crafted from
locally sourced ingredients. Whether you're seeking a peaceful getaway or an
inspiring location to work remotely, this cozy retreat blends nature with
exceptional hospitality. It's the perfect place to escape, recharge, and enjoy
the beauty of Macedonia's mountains.
The hosts of kajak.mk invite you to find peace, recharge
your batteries after a busy work week, or escape the chaos of the city during
your workdays.

The bungalows come furnished and are perfect for a week-long stay. They are heated by central heating and are spacious and bright.
The restaurant is currently open on weekends and is perfect
for guests who want to enjoy traditional cuisine.
At the restaurant, visitors can indulge in a variety of
local specialties, including game goulash made with venison, peasant stew
cooked in a pot, pitulici (traditional fried dough), kachamak (cornmeal dish),
and bakardan (a hearty meal of beans and vegetables). One of the favorites
among guests is the sheep cheese from Stogovo, renowned for its rich flavor.
The winter menu, coming soon, will feature hearty dishes such as dried homemade
meats, baked beans, peasant meat, and meatballs—perfect for warming up during
the colder months. These traditional dishes offer a true taste of Macedonian
mountain cuisine

The region features stunning mountain trails that lead to
Stogovo and Lazaropole. Additionally, the complex provides ATV motorcycles — a
total of four vehicles — which require a guide for guests who are unfamiliar
with the terrain. You can book ATV tours HERE.
Currently, there are two large bungalows available for
accommodation. Each bungalow includes a living room, a bedroom, and a private
bathroom. The bungalows are situated around a shared yard that provides privacy
for guests. Additionally, there is an outdoor kitchen equipped with a
wood-burning oven, grill, and stove.

The accommodation
capacity for both bungalows is designed for up to 9 people, making them ideal
for smaller groups or companies looking to enjoy a weekend in the mountains.
