5th Macedonian Incoming Tourism Exchange Goes Virtual Amid Absence of Tourism Fairs
Due to the absence of physical tourism fairs this year, the fifth edition of the Macedonian Incoming Tourism Exchange will be held online on the platform mtb.org.mk, announced the National Association for Incoming Tourism of Macedonia, the event’s organizers.
The virtual event is scheduled for February 25th and 26th and invites participation from tour operators, travel agencies specializing in incoming tourism, hotels, restaurants, transport providers, and tourist attractions. Participants will have the opportunity to promote their services and products to foreign tour operators, engage in direct conversations, and establish new contacts to foster future collaborations.

This year, the event will not differ in scope but only in the mode of execution.
The organizers are pleased with the strong interest so far, as evidenced by the large number of applications to join the exchange. In fact, all participants will receive highly valuable advice on how to leverage the advantages of digitalization in tourism. They will hear about new global trends presented by renowned world experts in the tourism field and, most importantly, have the opportunity to meet potential partners.
There are various options available for companies depending on their interests. Our platform offers the possibility to promote their offers to foreign tour operators, schedule meetings, exchange contacts and ideas, and attend lectures by top international experts who will discuss what to expect in the future, says Vlatko Sulev, President of NAITM.

The platform, which is already active and awaiting further applications, features six confirmed top experts who will give presentations. Among them are Frank Marr – a specialist in the digital sphere, Tine Murn – founder of “MyBrand UK,” and Marlon Van Hee – a tourism expert, export tourism trainer, and project manager.
The exchange will last two days, but the contacts made and knowledge gained will benefit participants long afterward. As organizers, we have secured a large number of renowned experts who will share their knowledge to keep us up to date with current developments in tourism. On the other hand, we have built an excellent network of foreign companies from the tourism sector that will be present at the event. This is a great opportunity for everyone to promote their strengths, adds Sulev.
The organizers say that participating companies will feel the benefits throughout the entire year. The platform will continue to operate after the exchange ends, and registered companies will receive ongoing updates and information from the tourism sector.
