We Founded the Family Winery in Honor of Our Father
On the Kajak.mk platform, stories have always prevailed that inspire and motivate you to continue on the path toward achieving your life dreams. No one would say that things in Macedonia are easy, or that someone needs luck to succeed in what they have envisioned. These are rare individuals, and as a young team, we decided to give our full support to those others who have not had the chance to promote themselves and prove that there are small locals in Macedonia doing great things for the development of tourism.
The team at Kajak.mk spoke with Vančo, who, together with his brother Nikole Shutarovski, founded the 'Stojan & Sons' winery in honor of their father, Stojan. The winery received its official stamp in 2022 as a registered small family winery. Vančo also added his cousin Boško Geroski to the team, who continuously supports them in the areas of marketing and design.
The winery is located near the cave church of St. Erasm, with a view of the blue waters of Lake Ohrid and the white peaks of Jablanica. It tells an interesting wine story that the two brothers wish to share with all well-meaning people and positive spirits of today's life. They opened a new chapter in the long-written history under the scorching sun of Čekoština. Vančo and Nikole Shutarovski are the protagonists who will guide you through the new wine experience. As heirs of Stojan, the reason for the wine gatherings, Vančo, a graduate manager in customs and forwarding, and Nikole, a doctor of dentistry, together began to live their long-held wine dream.
The family production was inherited from their grandfather, perfected by their father, and with their dedication to preserving family values expressed through wine.
As a newly registered winery, they face all the challenges that are a regular occurrence for all young winemakers, but they believe that the location and vineyards in 'Čekoština,' along with the highest quality Ohrid wine, will come to light and serve as another symbol of recognition for Ohrid.
Vančo shared with us the beginnings of the winery, their aspirations, and their wine, which you can purchase at any time from our shop or with a single click HERE.
The production process takes place in stainless steel barrels, and this year they have 5,000 bottles. They also sell rakija, which is a combination of donkey thorn, sage, and thyme.
Vančo mentions that they have plans for the future, but above all, their focus is on preserving the earthly values and a high quality of life.
At the 'S & S' Family Winery, you can find all the artifacts and tools that have been used for processing grapevines and producing wine and rakija, which have been in use by the family for decades.
The team at Kajak.mk advises you to support the 'Stojan & Sons' winery. Buy their wines and gift them to your loved ones for the upcoming holidays. This way, you will make the winemakers, your friends, and the concept developed by Kajak.mk happy. You can view and purchase the wine with a single click HERE.
