Celebrating 20 Years of Showcasing Traditional Macedonian Cuisine at "Domakinska Kuka"
Gligor Kostujchinovski is our new local hero who has been writing the story of the ethno restaurant "Domaćinska Kuća" for 20 years, a place that is our new gastro recommendation for a delicious weekend.
The restaurant has been operating since January 2003. The day when Gligor decided to open his kitchen to true gourmets.
Today, he says for Kajak.mk that the restaurant also has its own winery with homemade wine, and it offers apartments for overnight stays.
When it comes to meat specialties, here you can try homemade prosciutto, kulen, pancetta, as well as homemade cheeses. The cherry on top are the specialties that are baked in the oven at "Domaćinska Kuća." You can try various ribs in the oven, goat meat, lamb, pork, and a range of other specialties.
Domaćinska Kuća is located near the famous Vevčani Springs. Its interior is designed in a traditional Macedonian style, making it a renowned gastro corner throughout the region. The combination of wood and stone, traditional items, and the old hearth in the restaurant will help you feel the warmth of the Macedonian people.
