We Organize Rock Climbing for All Ages
We Organize Rock Climbing for All Ages
The team at Kajak.mk is excited to announce that, starting now, you can reserve another unique attraction through our platform – rock climbing in the Matka area. Yes, you read that right! Our collection of active tours is expanding with another activity that can fill your free day. You can find more information about the tour with a single click HERE.

Today, we’d like to introduce you to Oliver, our new local hero who has been involved in alpinism and sport climbing for 19 years. He started working as a sport climbing instructor 7 years ago when he realized that people were eager to learn more and had a desire to be physically active.
According to Oliver, Macedonia is a country that offers plenty of opportunities for this type of sport. We have many mountainous and rocky areas across the country where one can experience one-day adventures.

The location where his team conducts climbing training and organizes ascents is on a rock in Matka. There is no hiking required to reach the site.
The rock climbing sessions last around 20 minutes per person. Before starting the climb, a basic training is provided on how to ascend, how to protect yourself from falling rocks or slipping, what to pay attention to, and most importantly, how to synchronize your body and mind during the climb.

The climbing rock or training wall is 16 meters high and rated as 6a, with a safety rope already set up for top-rope climbing. The age range for participants is from 4 to 70 years old, and no prior experience in top-rope climbing is required.
If you're interested in climbing, you need to sign up as a group of at least 8 people. The group should arrive in sportswear. On-site, the group will be provided with equipment that includes special climbing shoes (sizes up to 46), helmets, carabiners, harnesses, and a chalk bag.
The climbing rock is open in spring and closes in autumn.
