I Want to Teach Everyone to Ride Horses

I Want to Teach Everyone to Ride Horses

The Kajak.mk team is exploring the Demir Hisar region to offer you as many attractions as possible that will inspire you to visit.

For those who want to make the most of their days off by discovering new landscapes and villages, we’re sharing another recommended destination — the Gara Ranch, which as of today is part of the Kajak.mk base.

Our local hero Goce says that anyone with the desire can learn to ride a horse. According to him, all it takes is not being lazy tourists and deciding to visit the village of Sladuevo, which is located just 3 kilometers from Demir Hisar and can be reached by car.

Goce shared with us his story of how he fell in love with horses. For him, love means loving what your heart tells you to love, and his heart tells him to love horses.

His horses are mares named Gara and Zvezda. He has loved these animals since he was a child, but circumstances didn’t allow him to raise horses back then. He remembers waking up drenched in sweat as a child because he dreamed of riding horses.

Today, horses are an inseparable part of his life. For Kajak.mk, he says he wants to understand horses in his own special way. He has written a book titled “I Will Teach You How to Ride a Horse,” which he says is based on his personal perspective and experience that he wants to share with others.

The village where he breeds and cares for the horses is perfect for active tourism. Spring and summer there are beautiful, with stunning landscapes, untouched nature, and clear streams. This is one of the main reasons that would encourage you to choose a horse riding tour in this region.

On the other hand, Goce is developing a concept for a riding school where participants will gain basic knowledge about horses, learn how to communicate and handle a horse, improve precision in giving commands, practice trail riding, as well as master the trot and gallop.

The village of Sladuevo is located in Zheleznic, in the eastern part of the territory of Demir Hisar Municipality, right next to the Demir Hisar-Kicevo or Krushevo road and along the course of the Crna River. The village is situated on flat terrain, at an altitude of 635 meters.
