Ranch at 1,100 Meters Available for Stay

Ranch at 1,100 Meters Available for Stay

The Kajak.mk database is buzzing with new accommodations that can be part of your perfect escape during the autumn and winter seasons. Some of you might remember our local hero Denis, who chose to open his own farm on Mount German instead of going to university.

For those interested in this place and Denis’s story, the Kajak.mk team is excited to inform you that starting today, you can book the apartment located within his ranch.

What makes this accommodation truly unique is that Denis offers a complete gastronomic experience of the region. The stay is not just a typical overnight lodging but also includes traditional breakfast, lunch, and dinner.

Ranch Stancha is surrounded by oak and pine forests and is located on Mount German in the village of Stancha, at an altitude of 1,100 meters.

The ranch offers one apartment with two bedrooms, a bathroom, and a small kitchen with a dining area. The property includes a yard with seating. What stands out the most is the stay offer, which includes breakfast, lunch, and dinner. The food served here is produced right on the ranch. Guests who choose to stay will have the chance to taste traditional pies cooked under the “vrshnik,” as well as meat prepared in the same traditional way.

This is an ideal destination for families with children who love farm animals. The hosts allow guests to feed the chickens, calves, and kids, take the goats out to pasture, and during the autumn months, gather acorns and seasonal fruits like apples, rose hips, blackthorn berries, and many other local plants.

According to Denis, this is a great opportunity to experience the rural way of life. He says that not far from the house there is a river, and the mountain is perfect for walks. Nearby is the St. Elijah Monastery in the village of Gulinci.

Guests can enjoy traditional dishes such as pies cooked under the vrshnik, yogurt (goat, sheep, or cow), corn bread, fried dough (mekici), fresh eggs, homemade preserves like ajvar, lutenița, pickled vegetables, veal and lamb soup, and various types of meat, Palanka-style potatoes, and seasonal salads. They also serve fruit compote, rice pudding (sutlijaš), and steamed cake.
